Overall description
Copa-Cogeca, the leading EU organisation representing European farmers and agri-cooperatives, is looking for a native French-speaking conference interpreter and translator to join our Language Services team. The successful candidate will have French A, and English and German C. Previous experience and knowledge of Italian, Spanish, Polish and/or Romanian would be an asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Translating documents (position papers, letters, agendas, minutes, press releases, etc.) for our organisation with the help of Trados Studio;
- Interpreting simultaneously Copa and Cogeca’s internal and external events, both on-site and on Interactio. Consecutive interpreting might be required occasionally;
Qualifications
- University degree in conference interpreting (BA/MA or equivalent);
- Previous experience is desired but not required;
- Very good sense of team spirit;
- Computer literacy: MS Office applications, modern communication tools;
- Experience with Trados or other CAT tools would be an asset;

- Applications are open until 26th May. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The selection procedure will include a simultaneous interpreting test and a job interview for the candidates who pass the test. The candidates selected for the test will be contacted on 30th May. The whole selection procedure will take place on 5th and 6th June via INTERACTIO (simultaneous interpreting test on INTERACTIO, job interview on Microsoft Teams). Further instructions on how to create an INTERACTIO account will be given to shortlisted candidates.
