EU Organic Awards

The EU Organic Awards are organised in conjunction with the European Commission, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), COPA-COGECA and IFOAM Organics Europe.
The past edition was held in 2023 and the past winners can all be consulted here on the European Commission Organic Awards webpage.
They are part of the European Commission's Action Plan for the Development of Organic Production published in March 2021. This Action Plan aims to increase organic production by educating the public on the environmental and social benefits of organic farming and thereby increase consumer demand for organically produced food. To this end, the Organic Awards were launched this year to recognise and bring to the foreground examples of innovation and excellence in the organic value chain.
There are 8 different awards for different actors along the organic value chain, and Copa-Cogeca is jointly responsible with IFOAM for awarding two Best Organic Farmer Awards - Male and Female.
